Historian Andrei Răzvan Voinea, Fulbright Alumnus, has just launched his first book Idealul locuirii bucureștene: familia cu casă și grădină (Parcelările Societății Comunale pentru Locuințe Ieftine-București 1908-1948), [English translation: The Housing Ideal in Bucharest: Family, Dwelling, Garden. The “Lotissements” of the Municipal Company for Low-Cost Housing (1908-1948)].

Răzvan Voinea graduated from the Departement of History of Architecture at the University of Architecture from Bucharest and was a Fulbright Junior Visiting Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Arts and Architecture between 2016 and 2017. The Ph.D. which stands at the basis of the book was mainly written during his Fulbright year in Pittsburg. The book is part of a larger project which aims to accommodate the citizens of Bucharest with the history of their neighborhoods. The launch gathered more than 300 people.
