We are happy to announce that Professor Rodica Mihăilă, Executive Director of the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission and founder of the American Studies program at the University of Bucharest, has been awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by "Ovidius" University of Constanța.

The award was given on Friday, October 5, for her pioneering work in establishing and developing American studies as an academic program in Romania, for promoting the American culture in Romania and for being an Ambassador of the Romanian culture in the U.S.
