Mohsen Razzaghi, Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of Mississippi State University, a twofold Fulbright Scholar to Romania, in 2011-2012 and 2015-2016, has kept close ties to Romanian colleagues. As a result, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was created between Mississippi State University (MSU) and the Politehnica University of Timisoara (PUT) and the University of Bucharest. In addition, PUT applied for an Erasmus+ between the university and MSU, and it has been approved. MSU are sending one of the graduate students in mathematics to Timisoara through this program in May for about four months. Last but not least, a conference between the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at MSU and PUT will be organized in May 2018 (http://iccmae.elearning.upt.ro/).
