U.S. Fulbright Scholar David McTier recently directed a production of The Fantasticks, the longest running musical in American theatre history. The premiere was May 26 at Fabrica de Pensule (Paintbrush Factory) in Cluj. The cast was comprised of all eight members of the Masters I Acting Program at UBB's Faculty of Theatre and Television. For them, this was their first musical as well as their first all-English language production. Dr. McTier noted that he was especially proud of these actors for their commitment and courage and their ability to produce this challenging musical in just three weeks.
