The Final Meeting of the Year for the American Fulbright grantees present in Romania in 2016-2017 was hosted by Transilvania University of Brasov on May 15 and 16. The almost twenty U.S. Fulbright Senior Scholars, Students and ETA’s who are now in Romania came to Brasov from Bucharest, Cluj, Craiova, Timisoara, Iasi, Constanta, Baia Mare and Oradea. They presented at the Multicultural Center of Transilvania University their teaching and research activities, as well as a remarkable series of events in which they were part or actually organized, including participation in conferences, writing of articles and volunteering work.

Once again this year, Fulbright grantees reached an impressive variety of places and environments, from big cities and universities to isolated villages, an intense exchange of knowledge, ideas and feelings taking place among the American professors and students and a very diverse Romanian public.

The Fulbright grantees, as well as this outstanding generous and intense Program, deserve all our gratitude.
