The volume Cămășile (Gowns), by Ioana Ieronim, is just out from the LiterNet online press (http://editura.liternet.ro/carte/341/Ioana-Ieronim/Camasile.html), with cover photograph by Kathleen Laraia McLaughlin, Fulbright Alumna, from the American photographer's monograph album The Color of Hay: The Peasants of Maramures. This particular photograph was even the catalyst for writing Gowns, a play on today’s changes and challenges facing Romania’s still surviving age-old rural traditions.  

Kathleen Laraia McLaughlin was a Fulbright Scholar in Romania, 2002-2003.

Ioana Ieronim was American Program Director at the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission (1999-2003) and Interim Executive Director (2001-2002).
