Professor Stephen J. Cutler Honoured by the University of Bucharest
We are happy to announce Stephen J. Cutler, Professor of Sociology, Emeritus and Emeritus Bishop Robert E. Joyce Distinguished University Professor of Gerontology at the University of Vermont, was made a Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Bucharest on March 29, 2017. A distinguished scholar, past president of the Gerontological Society of America, Professor Cutler has been a Fulbright Senior to Romania (two times, in 2004 and 2011-2012) and returned many other times to t
he School of Sociology and Social Work at the University of Bucharest to teach, do research, publish a number of articles together with Romanian colleagues. As Professor Cutler said, “I am delighted and honoured to receive this degree from the University I love representing the Country I love!”
