Tufts University Meets Romanian Students in Bucharest

On September 14, the Fulbright-EducationUSA Advising Center (FEAC) had the pleasure of teaming up with Yulia Korovikov, assistant dean of admissions at Tufts University, in order to reach out to Romanian students in Bucharest. Tufts University provides generous need-based financial aid packages to admitted students and welcomes competitive applicants. The Tufts University representative and the FEAC team were delighted to connect with students from two of the best secondary education institutions in Romania, St. Sava National College and George Cosbuc National College, whose alumni have successfully applied to U.S. institutions and received significant scholarships over the years.

9th-grade and 11-grade students from St. Sava National College as well as sophomores and juniors from George Cosbuc Bilingual College were introduced to the diverse range of academic opportunities at Tufts and received information about the free services offered by FEAC. Several prospective applicants had a chance to find out more about the specifics of the application process from Ms. Korovikov, while their younger colleagues demonstrated a real interest in U.S. universities, raising questions about major and minor programs, extracurricular programs on U.S. campuses as well as award-winning professors and cutting-edge research facilities.
