Professor Seyed Mehdian was granted the Honorary Professor of Finance (Profesor de Onoare) by the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, in recognition of his „outstanding merits in the field of Finances, for his substantial and sustained efforts, actions and contributions to scientific knowledge, as well as for the role played by him in the development of good relationships with the academic sphere in Iasi.”

Dr. Seyed Mehdian, from the University of Michigan, Flint, was a Fulbright Senior Grantee affiliated with the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest back in 2006-2007. Since then, he returned almost every year to Romania, expanded his activities to more Romanian universities and extensively collaborated with his Romanian colleagues. We would like to mention here only that Professor Mehdian intermediated the Student Exchange agreement between the University of Michigan and Al.I. Cuza University and he was on the editorial board of the Scientific Annals of Economics and Business, published by the same university.
