"I came to the University of Missouri, Columbia, three months ago, to study an interesting mixture of documentary film and international reporting. It’s funny, it seems I’ve been here forever, most likely because the program is way more demanding than I could have ever imagined (and there was a time in my life when I had two full-time jobs and, strangely, more time to sleep).

I was told right from the beginning I am at the best journalism school in the world, and boy, were they right. Mizzou is truly an outstanding place to delve in pretty much every area in the media. I am very lucky to be part of the first generation of students who undergo the Documentary sequence here that mixes advanced storytelling skills with sophisticated video techniques. A dream for any journalist who wants to cross from news to long-form multimedia.

No need to add I made new friends from many countries around the world. I can now say I could spend New Year’s in many famous American cities just because there’s someone inviting me or waiting for me there. Speaking about my friends, you’ll be jealous to see their resumes in their mid 20s.

I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to apply for a Fulbright experience not just to boost their level in their professional field, gain precious contacts, and take advantage of outstanding career opportunities, but also in order to truly grow as a person every day. You might not sleep much, but it’ll all be worth it in the end."
