The Fulbright Community in Massachusetts Welcomes New Scholars

Dr. Alina Tudor Hossu, Fulbright Visiting Scholar in the field of Environmental Sciences at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, attended the welcoming reception for visiting Fulbrighters and Fulbright alumni, held at the Northeastern University, Boston MA, on October 16th. The reception was also supported by the International Center of Worcester and WorldBoston.
The event was attended by more than 225 participants, including two Romanian Fulbright student grantees from the current program. The Northeastern President Joseph E. Aoun, a leading voice on federal and global higher education issues, gave a warm welcome address. It was an opportunity for all the participants to connect, build up a professional network and learn more about the Fulbright community, which they have now joined.
The photo shows Dr. Hossu and Fulbright Student grantee Andreea Iancu. The latter is a junior researcher affiliated with the University of Massachusetts, Boston in the academic year 2015/2016.
