Religion as Philosophy and Art in the Work of Lucian Blaga

The English Department of the University of Bucharest held its 17th Annual Conference:
Religion and Spirituality in Literature and the Arts on June 4-6. Many past and present Fulbright recipients were involved in this conference, including Michael S. Jones, current Fulbright grantee teaching at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Bucharest. Dr. Jones has been studying and writing about the Romanian philosopher/poet Lucian Blaga for over 15 years. In keeping with the theme of the conference, he made a presentation on Blaga titled “Religion as Philosophy and Art in the Work of Lucian Blaga.” Dr. Jones is an associate professor of philosophy and theology from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia, USA.
