Fulbright Grantee Carla Baricz kicks off FEAC-EducationUSA Competitive College Club

On Monday, May 18, the Fulbright Educational Advising Center (FEAC)-EducationUSA kicked off its Competitive College Club series with a special presentation by U.S. Fulbright grantee Carla Baricz.
The FEAC-EducationUSA Competitive College Club (CCC) is a cohort advising project which proposes to bring together top Romanian high school students firmly committed to studying in the U.S.A. and help them, through bi-monthly year-round meetings, become competitive applicants to U.S. universities.
Carla kindly agreed to be the first guest in our CCC meeting series, delivering a comprehensive and engaging presentation on school selection, the application process and financial aid, followed by a Q&A session. She also spoke about her personal experience at Columbia University and Yale University, highlighting the opportunities for academic excellence and generous financial aid they provide for deserving international students.
Carla Baricz is a PhD candidate in the English department at Yale University, currently completing a U.S. Fulbright Research grant in Bucharest, where she is preparing a translation and critical edition of Ion Budai-Deleanu’s Ţiganiada, Romania’s earliest known epic.
