Final Meeting of the 2014-2015 U.S. Fulbright Grantees

Final Meeting of the 2014-2015 U.S. Fulbright Grantees

On May 14-16, 2015, the Romanian - U.S. Fulbright Commission organized its traditional Final Meeting of the Year for the American Fulbright grantees present in Romania for the academic year 2014/2015.

Almost at the completion of this intensive Fulbright year, the U.S. Fulbright grantees – and some of the dependents as well! – presented their teaching and research activities as well as an impressive number of other activities, including participation in conferences, writing of articles, volunteering work. All in all, lots of hard work, dedication & inspiration.  Once more, the Fulbright Program demonstrates its virtue of creating long-lasting relationships and friendships, its capacity to bring more benefits in the years to come. The event was hosted by Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu.

The grantees and dependents, accompanied by Marjorie Stern, Cultural Attaché at the U.S. Embassy, and members of the Commission staff, had the opportunity to visit Sibiu and a few of the cultural treasures it offers: Brukenthal Museum and the Open-air Museum at Dumbrava, Sibiel and its Museum of the Icons on Glass.
