New Literary Project by Professor and Fulbright Alumnus Timothy Kenny

Professor Timothy Kenny’s current project is a book planned to come out in May 2015. In his own words, “FAR COUNTRY/Stories from Abroad and Other Complicated Places is a compilation of short, nonfiction stories, most of which have been published elsewhere, in small 'literary magazines' with low circulation”. We are happy to learn that the book will open with a story about Romania.

A strong supporter of the Fulbright program, Timothy Kenny was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar to Romania back in 1991-1992. He returned as a U.S. Fulbright Specialist in 2005 to resume teaching at the University of Bucharest, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies (FJSC). In 1992, together with eight Romanian Journalism majors, he produced the first student newspaper at FJSC.
