Dr. Earl Carstens is a specialist in Neuroscience from University of California, Davis, and recipient of a Fulbright-University of Bucharest Grant awarded for the first time this year. Professor Carstens was invited as a plenary speaker at the annual meeting of the Romanian Society of Dermatology held in Timisoara, November 5-8. The title of his conference was Itch: from basic research to clinics. The American neurologist has further plans to continue strengthening ties to Romanian colleagues and to make his Fulbright presence in Romania a basis for more cooperation in the future.
