The Romanian professors and researchers intending to apply to the Fulbright Senior Award 2015-2016 had the opportunity to clarify application questions and converse with two special invitees at the online seminar carried out on the Watchitoo platform on Thursday, October 16.  

Prof. Michael Jones, US Fulbright Visiting Professor of Philosophy, University of Bucharest/ Liberty University VA highlighted the importance of the project statement in terms of structure, style and significance. He encouraged the participants to explain the importance of the project on different levels, reinforce the proposed goals and methods and, last but not least, carefully follow the application instructions.

Dr. Anamaria Szabo, Romanian Fulbright Scholar (University of Bucharest /University of Vermont, Burlington) provided examples and suggestions regarding the crafting of a high-quality project. Her presentation addressed topics such as: describing the purpose, the intent and the significance of the project to the field, highlighting past and current academic experience and using the US experience upon return.

Corina Danaila, Romanian Program Coordinator and Ruxandra Radulescu, FEAC/Education USA Advisor gave a short presentation, restating the main steps of the application process and emphasizing the difference between the research and teaching proposals.

The webinar ended with a Q&A session which offered the participants the opportunity to receive instant answers and explanations to their specific questions.
