Stanford, Brown, Wellesley and Penn Come to Bucharest

The Fulbright Educational Advising Center kicked off October with a visit from representatives of Stanford University, Brown University, University of Pennsylvania and Wellesley College. Ms. Kiyoe Hashimoto (Stanford University), Mr. James Kytta (Brown University), Ms. Milena Mareva (Wellesley College) and Ms. Maxine Mendoza (University of Pennsylvania) kindly accepted to give presentations in some of the finest high schools in Bucharest, as well as at the American Corner.

On October 1, we accompanied them to „Tudor Vianu” High School and „Mihai Viteazul” High School, where about 100 and, respectively, 400 high school students gathered to hear the presentations, eager to learn more about opportunities to study in the U.S. Our guests highlighted their institutions’ rich undegraduate academic offerings and inspiring communities, also providing insider’s tips on undergraduate admission and financial aid. On October 2,  they delivered a presentation before 60 students from ICHB High School.

Our guests also joined us for a presentation and Q&A session at the American Corner Bucharest, sharing comprehensive information on the admission process. A total 50 participants attended the event at American Corner, both on-site and via DVC from Cluj and Craiova.
