The Fulbright Educational Advising Team Delivers Presentations in Timişoara and Iaşi

Touring the country on the occasion of the fall edition of RIUF (the Romanian International University Fair), the Fulbright Educational Advising Center/FEAC team made special visits to a number of universities - Universitate de Vest, Universitatea Politehnica din Timisoara, as well as Universitatea Alexandru Ioan Cuza and Universitatea Tehnica Gheorghe Asachi din Iasi – as part of our new outreach campaign. The four presentations delivered by FEAC representatives on October 6 in Timisoara and October 8 in Iasi focused on the two major pathways to U.S. study opportunities: Fulbright grants and independent graduate applications (for degree-seeking applicants). In each of these two major university centers, we engaged in a conversation with an audience made up of senior researchers and graduate students, but also had an opportunity to connect with undergraduate students as well.

In addition to a brief overview of the Fulbright awards and other funding options, FEAC staff also introduced the new Fulbright initiative of holding webinars and online workshops designed to inform and meet the needs of prospective Fulbright and independent applicants. We hope that the good news about the variety of grants and scholarships available to both degree and non-degree-seeking scholars will continue to motivate Romanian applicants to pursue in-depth research and study options in the United States.
