On Thursday, June 6, Fulbright alumnus Dr. Michael Jones (2000-2001, 2014-2015) visited the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission with a group of students from Liberty University where he teaches. They were accompanied by two other professors, Dr. Laurentiu Gheorghe from the University of Bucharest and Prof. Denise Thomas from Liberty University. Dr. Jones and his group are in Romania for three weeks, studying theology, learning about Romania, sightseeing, and collaborating and networking with churches and NGOs. They were warmly received by the Fulbright staff, who explained the Fulbright program to the group and encouraged the students to consider a future Fulbright application. Dr. Jones says that his students are loving their time in Romania and that he is hopeful that some will apply to the Fulbright program when the time is right.
