Between May 26 and May 31, Rodica Mihăilă, Executive Director, and Mihaela Doaga, Educational Adviser of the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission, took part in the 2019 NAFSA (the Association for International Educators) conference. The theme of this year’s NAFSA conference was “Global Leadership, Learning, and Change”.

The director of the Commission attended several events, panels and workshops for Fulbright executive directors and talked about recent developments and strong points of Fulbright grants to Romania for U.S. students and scholars.

The NAFSA participation also included a country poster fair, in which the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission had a booth where prospective educational and institutional partners had a chance to stop by and discuss avenues for future cooperation between U.S. institutions and the Fulbright Commission, as well as ways of reaching out to potential Romanian applicants.
