„Guidance and Counseling in Romania”, a presentation by Fulbright Visiting Scholar Angela Andrei

„On the 5th of March 2019, I had the great privilege and honour to give a presentation on ‘Guidance and Counseling in Romania’ for a group of Doctoral students and their supervisor, Professor V. Scott Solberg from Boston University, the Wheelock College of Education and Human Development. Among the most important topics discussed were: the role of guidance and counseling in the educational system, how guidance and counseling are embedded in the national school curriculum, examples of specific competences and learning activities included in the curricula at elementary and middle school level, the research and publications of the department of Counseling and Educational Management from the Institute of Educational Sciences Bucharest, Romania. In addition, the activities of the European networks, Euroguidance and CareersNet and their role for practitioners and decision-makers were presented and interesting examples were highlighted for the audience.”
